Why I started this blog
I arrived comparatively late to the cryptocurrency scene, considering bitcoin had been around for about 8 years -- in the Fall of 2016. I had read about an online course in partnership with MIT ( https://www.getsmarter.com/universities/mit ) related to blockchain technologies and how they could transform businesses. I had registered for the course and was thoroughly hooked once I completed it. Our group project was based on using a blockchain for securing real estate titles. One of the reasons I was so attracted to cryptocurrencies and blockchain protocols was their potential for streamlining financial transactions. It never ceased to amaze me that I could send money to anyone anywhere in the world with just an internet connection and computer. I did not need a bank account, nor did the recipient -- just a bitcoin address.
